Sony Recalls 73,000 Laptops Due To Overheat Risk
A manufacturing defect caused Sony to recall 73,000 Vaio Tz laptops. The problem is that the wiring near the computer’s hinge could short-circuit and overheat and this could burn the user.
There is already a victim: a person suffered a minor burn resulting from the defect. Sony has received 15 other reports of overheating computers.
The affected models are: VGN-TZ100, VGN-TZ200, VGN-TZ300 and VGN-TZ2000. Anyway, not all computers from these series are affected, that’s why Sony suggests that users should contact the company to check if their computer could be dangerous.
